Residential Living Wall in Ocean Beach, San Diego
When our long-time maintenance clients moved to a new home in Ocean Beach, San Diego, they reached out to us to create another stunning living wall—this time for a large, sun-drenched exterior wall that was visible from nearly every window in their home.
The 11' W x 7.5' H living wall was designed to transform the otherwise bare and imposing wall into a vibrant, eye-catching feature. Given the intense, all-day sun exposure and the clients’ love of succulents, we curated a palette of resilient plants in a flowing lateral design. The arrangement features a dynamic array of succulents with colors inspired by the vibrant blue and orange tones of coastal landscapes, complementing the Ocean Beach aesthetic.
To ensure durability and elegance, the living wall was constructed with a powder-coated black steel frame, providing a sleek, high-end finish that harmonizes with the modern design of the home while standing up to the coastal elements.
The result is a breathtaking living art piece that not only enhances the home’s outdoor aesthetic but also creates a calming, nature-inspired view from within. The wall celebrates the client’s personal style and love for succulents, while elevating the overall ambiance of their new residence.
