PLTFRM Office Living Wall Upgrade
Century City, Los Angeles, CA
Client need
The client had an existing moss wall that wasn’t delivering the lush, living impact they expected, and they wanted the real benefits of an indoor living wall: a vibrant, plant-forward experience that supports well-being and can contribute to improved indoor environmental quality.
The space had strict constraints: no new water line access and no added drainage for excess water.
Our solution
We repurposed the existing frame footprint and fabricated a fully self-contained 4’ W x 8’ H indoor living wall designed for controlled hand-watering, allowing precise water input with no need for new drainage infrastructure.
To ensure long-term plant health, we added full-spectrum grow lighting tailored to the wall’s location, supporting consistent growth, color, and density in an interior environment.
The Outcome
A true indoor vertical garden that finally delivered the “living” effect the client wanted: richer depth, fresher energy, and a more restorative biophilic presence for the workspace.
With the hand-water approach and dedicated lighting, the wall stays healthy and vibrant while respecting the building limitations, proof that a high-performing indoor living wall is possible even in tight retrofit conditions.
